Dr. Kimberly Skyles
Originally from Southern California, Dr. Skyles completed her bachelor of science degree in Biopsychology at UC Santa Barbara. After conducting research in retinal biology at UCSB’s Neuroscience Research Institute, she became interested in the functions of the eye and how they relate to vision. From there she found her rewarding career in Optometry and has been captivated by it ever since.
A recent graduate from Southern California College of Optometry, Dr. Skyles stumbled upon her love for children’s eye care during her optometric training where she learned the importance of healthy visual development for learning and future success. As she got involved with school vision screenings, Children’s Vision Days and other community events, her interest in pediatric eye care grew. Dr. Skyles gained further expertise with children’s care during her rotations at a pediatric private practice in Boise, Idaho. She is now relocated to the Seattle/Eastside and is looking forward to taking care of the children of Redmond.
In her spare time, Dr. Skyles enjoys spending time outdoors, exploring the hiking trails and parks of the Northwest with her fiancé and 8 year old black lab, as well as ballroom dancing and playing the piano. She is also bilingual in English and Spanish.
