Dr. Lingyan Anderson recently moved to the Seattle area because she fell in love with the amazing nature of the PNW. Originally a researcher in Biophysics at UT Southwestern Medical Center, she graduated Magna Cum Laude from University of Houston College of Optometry and practiced in Houston after graduation. She’s also a member of Beta Sigma Kappa International Optometric Honor Society. Dr. Anderson has published research on an objective refraction method that improves visual acuity by accounting for both lower and Higher Order Aberration, which has been applied to non-communicative children.
Dr. Anderson loves working with children. She completed a pediatric externship with Houston Eye Associates as part of her doctorate. She’s also a provider of InfantSEE program, which provides free eye exams to children between 6 and 12 months of age.
Dr. Anderson speaks English and Mandarin. She spends her free time with her husband and their two little boys exploring the great outdoors.
